Summer Reading
Welcome back! I hope you had the summer of your dreams! Did you sleep in? Did you go on a vacation? Did you read any books? What? Read? Yes! I'd like to get to know you a bit, so in the comments below, tell me about your summer. Make sure you mention one book, article, or even a menu you read (please tell me you read something!) Give me a short summary of whatever it was and tell me if you liked it... or not...

Thank you! Yes, I did sleep in. I went to Iowa and Michigan for vacation. This summer I read the Kissed by an Angel series. It was an amazing series! I was hooked after the first chapter! The first book is about a teenager named Ivy and she is starting in a new school. She meets a boy named Tristen and then they start dating. One day when they are driving, they get in a car crash. Tristen gets killed while Ivy survives. Tristen becomes an angel and protects Ivy from her evil step-brother,Gregory.
ReplyDeleteThat sound like a sad book. But why did they crash? where they trying to dodge a deer? Did they slip on ice? Or did they do somthing else?
DeleteP.S.
Deleteyour blog clock is off. th current time is 6:59
Reply to : Sydney R. That series sounds like fun and really nice books!
DeleteThat soundslike a great series I might try one of thoes books this year.
DeleteI have read those books before they are really good!!! I loved them.
DeleteThis summer I went to San Fran. All I did was walk around, shopping, riding street trains, and having a lot of fun. A book I read this summer was “American Sniper”. I enjoyed the book because It told me what it was like to be in war, and what SEAL training was like. Also, I went to my mom’s wedding on September 1st, 2012. I danced a lot and hand loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really fun. I've never been to San Francisco. I bet riding street trains was cool.

DeleteRiding the street trains was cool, thanks for commenting.
DeleteAlso, the book is good, but its an autobiography, so you maay get bored of it from time to time. However overall, its a really awesome book.
Well this summer I slept in a lot! The only place I went that is sorta concidered as a vacation is Illinois. My mom's bestfriend's oldest daughter graduated high school. It was a lot of fun seeing them because we don't get down there a lot.We swam and made s'mores! It was soooo fun!!

DeleteYes, I've read this summer! Also I've slept in like almost everyday except one of those days when my kitten would just start jumping and licking my face! So then I have to wake up, that means she is hungry! :) I've finally finished reading " The Hunger Games" I've seen the movie. What about you? Just wondering :)I liked the book. It was about this one girl who had to fight against other children boys and girls to win the person who stays alive won. So they actually had to kill each other! I'am in you're 3rd hour English this year!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Hunger Games book and movie! It is my favorite series ever! Good choice Natalia!

DeleteI slept in a little over the summer and now it is hard getting up so early again. Over the summer the vacations I did were going to Lutsen, and I went to Michigan for a wedding. On the way up to Michigan I read a book called “I so don’t do mysteries” it was a good book but not my favorite book I have ever read. It was about a girl who had to find out why all the rhinos at the zoo were dying. I read many other books this summer and I have two books I really want to read this year and I am looking forward to 8th grade English.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I have went to Valley Fair with some friends...A lot of times!!!! I did not only go to Valley Fair I also went to a friends cabin and we had so much fun! We did things like fishing, walking around, swimming, And also having a fire roasting marshmallows!!! I got some reading in this summer. I read a book called "False Memory" By, Dean Koontz. It was a really good book. It had some scary yet dramatic moments in the book, But it was very good! It was mostly about this girl that went into surgury and woke up to look in the mirror and her face was totally different. She could not even reconize herself. I love Dean Koontz he is a really good mystery writer!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThats sounds like a really good book. Im going to have to check that out sometime. Thanks!
DeleteThat book seems cool! Thanks for the reccomendation!

ReplyDeleteYes I read this summer. On a six hour car ride I read a book on womans golfing. It was a good book, but it made me a little sleepy, so i slept in the car for a couple of hours. After reading the book me and my dads friend beat my dad and my brother at golf. Hahahaha.

ReplyDeleteThanks ! I had a really good summer.Sleeping in was one of my favorite parts about summer.I went camping alot with my family and friends,it's alot of fun.I started on a book but never finished. The book is called catching fire, which is the second book in the hunger games series. So far I love the book,I would recommend it other people because it's a great book.
ReplyDeleteI might check that out this year at the library. :)
DeleteThank you I hope you had a good summer too! I got to sleep in so late! Now it's very hard to get up now that school has started. I went on the lake tons of times and I also got to join my friend Kaitlyn up at her Cabin! It was a blast! I didn't read a whole lot this summer. I read the beginings of some books such as "Wringer" by Jerry Spinelli and "The Wanderer" by Sharon Creech, but they didn't keep me hooked. So i am hoping to start fresh with a new, good book this year. I wouldn't reccomend "The Wanderer" because it's a slow book.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed coming to my cabin! And i cant wait to go jet-skiing! i might wanna read the wringer!

DeleteWanna come on the boat sunday? Whats the Wringer about?
